Texas A&M vs TCU Preview

BACK ON THE MIC WITH #StickStarProductions

GAME TIME: Texas A&M vs TCU 1:00 PM Saturday 2/2

Today's inter-divisional matchup will be a battle of two very different teams! Texas A&M, reigning Lone Star Alliance Champions, return just about everyone from last year and add quality talent by way of their 19 man freshman class & some key transfers. Expect all of the Aggie's usual suspects, Hepting, Buerkle, Bodden, Planeta, and Jaillet, to get it going early and often as today's matchup will be their 3rd go of the young season. This group combined for 227 Aggie points in 2018 and they could certainly top that number in 2019!

This will be a real test for a Horned Frog's team that loses 3 of their top 5 scorers from 2018 in Baty, Hoke, and Staff. It will be up to sophomores Andrew Miller and Michael Fogerty to shoulder the load for this young, relatively unknown TCU squad. A huge plus for the Horned Frog's will be the return of Alex Cartwright who was a stud for the Frogs during his 2017 campaign that saw TCU to a LSA Final 4 appearance.

Defensively, both squads will return the lion's share of their defenses from last year year with the most notable name not returning being TCU's Luis Nunes (1st Team All-Conference LSM) who will certainly be missed between the lines.

Although A&M returns a ton of firepower on the offensive side, this game has the potential to be tight to the wire if the tandem of Lawton & Cummins can convert possessions by making stops between the pipes for the Frogs. We certainly know Aggie Legend Marco Robertson will be holding it down across the field! Combine that with a good day at the Face-off X from Willam Creedon (1st Team All-Conference FOS 2018) and TCU could really find themselves with plenty of possessions to keep this thing level.

We're looking forward to an exciting game today and are stoked to kick-off #YR3 of #StickStarProductions coverage for the Lone Star Alliance! It's going to be a great year!
